“We literally felt that were the luckiest person on earth last January 24, 2015.
Honestly speaking, this wasnt our first choice because we prefer to stay at a nearer hotel from session road, but since we cant find an available spot for 2 anywhere nearer, we decided to look online for a hotel at least near from burnham.
And despite the bad reviews we read before we decided to book and pay for this hotel thru phone and email reservation.
The reservation process was OK, but then we needed to insist stuffs before there work things out for us (i called 8 am one morning then needed to follow up the next day for the CONFIRMATION EMAIL, but then the following steps where fine, we did deposited the payment January 22 although January 21 was the due date but then it was OK with them, so reservation was booked)
I was never expecting more about the hotel because of the reviews, but about the rooms yes, we wanted something clean and comfortable ofcourse. And since it says it was newly renovated so yeah, we really thought it was what we actually think.
As we arrive at 5pm we immediately verified if it was already paid and eventually we were taken to a Larger Room which we didnt expect
So we tried to call the front desk to ask and verify the reservation made thru my name and yeah they confirmed that it was a FREE ROOM UPGRADE for our own convenience.
I was really impressed with the service and the hotel itself, Yes renovations are on going, but this time i believe its already half way finished. We never heard construction noise in our room. Room was great (We were lucky to stay in an Executive Suite), Hotel building and lobby was way to better and different from before and from the pictures available online. Service was excellent. BUFFET BREAKFAST was the best with rice, desired breakfast special, egg cooked as you wanted, juice, water, coffee, waffle and more.
Got nothing bad to say. Our stay was really memorable.
Will post pictures of the hotel soon:)
“I can say I made the right decision when I booked Venus Parkview Hotel via Agoda. I initially based my decision on reviews I’ve read in Tripadvisor and I could say that it is indeed a good place to stay in in Baguio.
What is outstanding in this hotel is their focus on customer satisfaction. You see I booked the hotel a week before our scheduled trip. Found out later that a typhoon was about to hit Northern Luzon. Three days before our trip, I called them to inform that I might not be able to come because of the typhoon. They were kind enough to give me up to 8pm the night before to cancel my reservation. They even suggested an internal arrangement that I can stay in their hotel anytime within the month since I already paid for my stay. They got my number so that they can call me a day before if I am going to travel or not.
It is a good thing that the weather was kind during our scheduled trip. Check in was easy and fast. The lobby is huge and very classy! If you’re a first time visitor, be sure to get a copy of the map indicating the tourist destinations in Baguio. Two complimentary breakfast coupons were given to us.
Renovation is ongoing when we arrived but we were not bothered by it. Only challenge is the elevator is still not done so we have to carry our luggage going to our room.
We were five when we traveled and we fit comfortably in their premier double bedroom. I initially requested for an extra bed (P800) but did not avail it anymore because the bed is big enough for three. The place is nicely lighted, clean, and has a nice view from the balcony. There were two complimentary bottles of water and two bottles of C2. Only problem in our room was the bathroom lock which is not working.
The hotel is close to Burnham Park and is just a few minutes away from SM Baguio, the Baguio Cathedral, Session Road, etc. so we just walked most of the times. Decided to just leave the car in the parking area because we might lose our space; the number is limited.
Breakfast in the hotel is average. Buffet breakfast costs only P250. They don’t allow charging to your room so make sure you bring your money. I only ate fruits, egg and waffles together with coffee and fruit juice. The waffle was slightly burnt but was tasty. My companions were very satisfied and even had a second serving.
If I go back to Baguio, I will definitely stay in this hotel again. I hope renovation will be finished by then, I am expecting the hotel will look even better. I hope they keep up the excellent service!”
“We booked for the Executive Suite with Balcony and the experience was really great!
Room – greatly satisfied! our room was executive suite w/ balcony. Our view was Burnham Park. Clean room, complete with towels, shampoo, lotion, soap, toothbrush, showercap, cottonbuds, with blower, bidet, hot/cold water, complimentary bottled water, coffee & even goya chocolate. everything was great!
Buffet-our booking included buffet breakfast and the food was good. typical Filipino food and the taste was acceptable. bfast on our first day was different on our second day. bfast were like tortang talong, tapa, tuyo, vegetables, corned beef, longganisa and eggs & waffles by request.
Service-good also!! we had a problem with aircon on our first night. and on our second night, we reported the problem and they assisted us immediately. when they’ve confirmed that there was really a problem with our a/c, they transferred us to a new room immediately. great!
Location-good location! it’s right infron of Burnam Park and walking distance from Session Road, Market, etc. very accessible.
The only problem that we had was the elevator. But I already expected this as seen on other reviews. Elevator was really old and would stop twice on your selected floor. Scary at first, but you’ll get used to it. I’m sure they will replace this as they are really renovating the hotel.
Overall experience: EXCELLENT! WIll surely come back and I recommend this hotel to everyone =)”

We stayed here early April 2015 and for the price we paid I think it’s definitely worth it. I would consider the hotel a mid-range one. Not really for the budget traveler and not yet high end as compared to the other establishments in the city.
It is centrally located right across Burnham Park. It’s near to a lot of restaurants and fast food chains, all within a few minutes’walk. Burnham seems pretty safe with police patrolling at around 10pm when we were there. The ukay-ukay is also just on the other side.
With concerns to the noise coming from Kisad Road, it wasn’t really a concern as the hotel is already on a higher elevation than the road plus it is setback meters away. They have two buildings with the lobby and dining area located in the first. (It is still under renovation now). The second building is setback even further away from the road with the hotel’s parking spaces in front of it. Rooms in the second building are newly renovated.
The rooms were nicely decorated and comfy with either a king sized bed or 2 queen sized bed. Even the extra bed was comfy. Linens were white as can be. Towels and towelettes were spotless. Complimentary water were also provided. Bathrooms were a bit small though. For a small or slim person it won’t be a problem but for people with bigger girth, the bathroom doors might need a little maneuvering. Most important feature for us was that the rooms had airconditioning. Most hotel rooms in Baguio do not have airconditioned rooms, even the top ranking ones at Camp John Hay.
Important note especially with older people, the tiles in the shower have a good grip even when wet but if soap spuds get in the way, it might get slippery. Perhaps a bath mat can be provided if requested for the elderly.
The staff. Very helpful and accommodating. They always try to explain things in detail, tried to look up information about Baguio when inquired upon and they even booked some restaurant reservations for us when we requested assistance. Very attentive and polite.
The buffet breakfast. The waffles were wonderful. They always had soup and fruits everyday. Around 4-5 viands, which they also changed everyday for the 4 days we were there. They had an egg station for requests. Coffee, water and juice were always available.
Lastly, they have driver rooms with breakfast if needed though our driver didn’t avail them. We went to Baguio with our hired Van+driver Ricky Racela on his new Grandia GL. He has a facebook page ‘Tours by Rick’ if one needs a van for a big group in going around Luzon. Trustworthy guy.
